Smith-9th Streets Station is an old station that went through renovation in the year of 2011 on June 20th to April 2013. In 2007, the MTA had announced there would be a three-year renovation of the Culver Viaduct (IND Culver Line) for 27 months to rebuild the viaduct and the station itself. When the station was closed, passengers from (F) and (G) trains had to take either train to Carroll Street and transfer to the B61 bus. And passengers who were coming from the 4th Avenue-9th Street Station from the (F), (G), or (R) trains had to transfer to the B61 bus as well for service to that station.
